Furniture as Art

Furniture is often overlooked as a way to bring color and art into a room. A vibrantly painted buffet or a decorative finish on a set of end tables can be just the thing to lift the mood of a room. The possibilities are endless. Here are a few examples of furniture art pieces I have painted for clients.

Vibrant “Keep Austin Weird” buffet - This client said she had been looking for over TWO years for the perfect buffet and finally, this was the one.

This piece was quite the transformation. I love the blended drawers combined with the ornate hardware.

Antiqued entry table with concrete drawer faces - I applied leftover concrete plaster from my accent wall to the drawer faces, followed by a limewash to highlight the texture. The rest of the piece was painted in lime paint (Pure & Original) to create the weathered effect. Another of my all time favorite pieces!
