Wallpaper for a Girl’s Room

Generally, when you are designing for a child’s room, it’s important to remember that they grow fast. They will quickly outgrow kid-themed wallpaper. The task at hand becomes picking a style they can grow with. Keep in mind, the most important person in this decision-making process is the little girl/boy who will be occupying the room. Never underestimate kids when it comes to design. They have excellent imaginations, and can make great design choices!

I recently did a project selecting wallpaper for a little girl’s room (5 years old). The client really liked the idea of a mural landscape styles without harsh repeats. Thus, here are the options we looked at.

  1. Schumacher - Madame de Pompadour

If you want a light, bright room with pops of color, Madame de Pompadour is an excellent option. It also comes in a blue background and a light pink.

2. Scalamandre - Blossom chinoiserie mural

For the kid that is obsessed with green, I think this will do the trick! This paper also comes in a sky blue as shown.

3. Schumacher - Xandu Landscape

Schumacher has a great selection of these branch murals. I particularly like the peacocks in this one!

Cheers!
