Guest House Renovation

Bungalow Guest House.jpg

This 1978 bungalow was built on a sprawling riverfront property in Westlake Austin, and became a guest house when a large addition was built to serve as the main house. Needless to say, a few updates were needed to get the guest house fully functional and cleaned up a bit, especially in the kitchen and main bathroom. The clients were a couple with a growing family and had visions for a pool down the road. Thus, this guest house would also become a pool house of sorts. Knowing this, the client decided to go with low cost, low maintenance finishes and keep the existing floors in the kitchen.
